37 detained in Dinajpur

Police, in special raids from Sunday night to this morning, arrested 37 people including 3 drug traders, and recovered illegal drugs from nine upazilas of the district.

Police said, during the drives, Dinajpur Sadar police arrested nine people with 108 bottles of Phensidyl, Chirirbandar police five, Phulbari police three, Birganj three, Kaharole three, Bochaganj police four, Ghoraghat three, Hakimpur police four with 302 pieces of Yaba tablets and Birampur police arrested three accused.

Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with different police stations against the arrested persons, the sources added.

The arrested people were sent to jail this afternoon.
