Govt reconstitutes ICT,B

The government has appointed High Court judge and member of the International Crimes Tribunal, Bangladesh Md Shahinur Islam as the chairman of the International Crimes Tribunal, Bangladesh (ICT,B).

Besides, two new members -- HC division judge Amir Hossain and district and sessions judge Abu Ahmed Jamadar -- have also been appointed in the ICT,B.

Law ministry on Wednesday issued a gazette notification in this regard.

The government reconstituted the International Crimes Tribunal, Bangladesh since its chairman justice Anwarul Haque died of cancer on 13 July and a member, justice Md Suhrawardy, expressed his desire to go back to the HC division, read the gazette notification.
