4 killed as bus knocks down autorickshaw

At least four people were killed and two others injured in yet another road accident in Ramgopalpur area of Gauripur upazila in Mymensingh on Tuesday afternoon.

Two more persons lost lives in another road accident reported in Rajshahi on the day.

In Gauripur, a bus hit an autorickshaw around 1:00pm, leaving four passengers of the autorickshaw dead on the spot, said Gauripur police station officer in-charge Delwar Hossain.

The victims could not be named immediately. The two critically wounded persons were admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

Up to 20 people lose lives in road accidents across the country every day, according to reports of the past one year, compiled by private organisations.
