83 held in Pabna police raids

Police detained 83 people from different areas in the district in special drives from Monday evening to Tuesday morning.

Additional police super of Pabna Sadar Circle Ibne Mijan said police launched a special raid in different areas under 11 thanas of the district and arrested them.

Among the arrestees 23 were held from Sadar thana, five from Sujanagar, seven from Atgharia, three from Aminpur, five from Bera, six from Santhia, eight from Ataikula, 17 from Ishwardi, 3 from Chatmohar and two from Bhangura.

Police claimed that they recovered 54 pieces of Yaba pills, 170 bottles of phensedyl, alcohols and heroine from the drive.
