Roof collapse kills 2 workers

Two construction workers were killed and two others injured as the roof of an under-construction petrol pump collapsed in Badmalonchi area under Niamatpur upazila of the district.

The deceased are Sujon, 25, of Rajabari village under Gomastapur upazila in Chapainawabganj district and Anisur Rahman, 35, hailed from Gabtoli village of Niamatpur upazila.

Niamatpur police station officer-in-Charge (investigation) M Najmul Haque said the victims were working when the roof of the refuelling station collapsed at about 12.30pm.

Sujan and Anisur died on the spot. The injured were sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
