Capainawabganj schoolboy 'strangled to death'

A schoolboy was reportedly strangled to death by unidentified miscreants at Borogachi Bhatapara village in Bholahat upazila in Chapainawabganj on Friday noon, reports UNB.

The deceased is Rajib Ahmed, a class VII student of Borogachi Government High School and son of Ibrahim Ali, a resident of the village.

Quoting family members, Bholahat police station sub-inspector Azim Uddin said Rajib went to sleep at their sugarcane grinding mill on Thursday night and later in the morning he was found missing.

Around 12:30pm on Friday, locals spotted the body of Rajib lying in a wheat field near their house and informed police.
