Local Bangladesh Nationalist Party leaders and activists have formed a human chain in Khulna city demanding its 'missing' leader Nazrul Islam Moral be traced immediately, reports UNB.

District BNP arranged the human chain programme in front of the party office at KD Ghosh Road around 10:00am on Friday.

On 17 March, Nazrul, district BNP assistant religious affairs secretary, was picked up by unidentified persons while returning home from Keshabpur in Jessore after seeing a doctor. Since then, he remained missing.

Speakers blamed the government and police for the incident and demanded that the BNP leader be traced and handed over to his family unhurt.

District BNP senior vice-president professor Gazi Abdul Haq and general secretary Amir Ezaz Khan, among others, spoke at the programme held with BNP's national executive committee member and district unit president SA Shafiqul Alam in the chair.
