Woman's broom beating kills husband

A sexagenarian man was killed as his wife allegedly hit him in the head with a broom at Chandipur village in Chuadanga's Sadar upazila on Thursday, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Hakim of the village.

Locals said Hakim collapsed on the ground after Sahera Khatun hit him in the head with the broom in the morning following a family feud, leaving him dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy.

They also arrested Sahera, said officer-in-charge of Sadar police station Delwar Hossain Khan.
