Bangladesh and Nepal will be connected via a tunnel way to promote transnational road connectivity, a Nepalese minister reportedly said.

Such tunnel must be made through about 30 kilometres of Indian territory that separates Nepal from Bangladesh border.
Nepal's industry, commerce and supply minister Matrika Prasad Yadav said a tunnel way would be constructed along the Nepal-Bangladesh shortest route, according to Kathmandu Post.
The newspaper reported that the minister revealed the information while inaugurating the third conference of small and medium-sized enterprises from China and South Asian Countries in Kathmandu on Sunday.
An agreement on the issue of connecting Nepal with water-route was reached during the Nepali prime minister's recent India visit, the report said quoting the minister.
"South Asia has become the common market of all countries, but it has yet to find market in other countries. We must to promote market for our products to reduce a ballooning trade deficit," he was quoted by Kathmandu Post as saying.
