Two housewives found dead in two dists

Two women were found dead in Panchagarh and Jessore districts on Thursday.

In Panchagarh, a housewife was found dead at her house in Sukhyati village of Atoari upazila.

The deceased is Josna Begum, 45, wife of a certain Solaiman Ali of the village, reports UNB.

Atoari police station officer-in-charge Aminul Islam said Solaiman’s son Farhad found their house locked around 6:30pm.

Seeing his mother nowhere, Farhad entered the house breaking the lock and found his mother lying on her bed.

On information, police recovered the body in the evening and sent it to sadar hospital.

The body bore several injury marks and police suspected that Solaiman might have killed his wife earlier in the day.

In Jessore, a woman was beaten to death allegedly by her husband over family feud in Balidah village in Sharsha upazila on Thursday night.

The deceased is Sumona Begum, 27, wife of one Ujjal of the village.

Quoting locals, Sharsha police station officer-in-charge Mashiur Rahman said Mobarak Hossain’s son Ujjal used to torture his wife Sumona since their marriage eight years ago.

On Thursday, the couple locked into an altercation. At one stage, Ujjal beat up Sumona mercilessly, leaving her dead.

Later, he hanged the body of Sumona with the ceiling of the house.

On information, police recovered the body on Friday morning and sent it to Jashore Genera Hospital morgue for autopsy.

None was arrested in this connection.
