Eid advance train ticket sale begins 2 June

Sale of advance train tickets for Eid-ul-Fitr will begin on 2 June.

The railway authorities came up with the decision at an emergency meeting in the capital on Monday.

Railway additional director general (operations) Jalal Uddin Mia told Prothopm Alo that the home goers will be offered tickets for 11, 12, 13, 14 June on 2, 3, 4, 5 June respectively.

The sale of return tickets will start on 9 June and will continue till 13 June.

Railway officials said a person will be allowed to buy not more than 4 tickets at Dhaka’s Kamalapur and Chittagong stations.

A total of 25 per cent tickets will be available online while 5 per cent will be reserved for VIPs and 5 per cent for railway officials.
