Housewife strangulated to death

A housewife was strangulated to death by some miscreants in Nagbati village of Shyamnagar upazila in Satkhira district on Friday night.

The deceased is Jebunnesa, 50, wife of a certain Abdul Aziz Sardar of the village, reports UNB.

Locals said that a group of miscreants entered the house of Aziz when he went to mosque for saying prayers.

The miscreants strangulated Jebunnesa to death and took way two mobile phone sets and ear rings of her.

After returning from prayer, Aziz found her wife dead and informed neighbours.

On information, police recovered the body and detained Aziz for interrogation, said Shyamnagar police station officer-in-charge Syed Mannan Ali.
