Lightning kills university student

A university student was killed after being struck by a thunderbolt in Daulatpur village of Pirganj upazila in Thakurgaon district on Friday morning.

The deceased is Premandra Roy, 24, son of one Ramnath Roy of the village, reports UNB.

Premandra was a third year student of agriculture faculty at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, locals said.

A thunderbolt hit Premandra while he was working in a pond near his house leaving him dead on the spot, they said.
