Rohingya boy killed in Cox’s Bazar wall collapse

A recent view of sprawling Kutupalong Rohingya camp in Ukhyia of Cox's Bazar. Photo: Abu Taib Ahmed/Prothom Alo A minor boy was killed and his mother injured as a mud wall collapsed on them at Kutupalong Rohingya camp in Ukhia upazila of Cox's Bazar on Monday, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Md Sultan, 2.

Refugee Relief & Repatriation Commissioner Abul Kalam said a portion of a mud wall collapsed on Amena Begum and her son at the block no. 7 in the camp around 10:00am, leaving the boy dead on the spot and Amena injured.

Amena was taken to Ukhia Health Complex.
