Two electrocuted in Jashore

Two people were electrocuted in separate incidents in Bagharpara and Chaugachha upazila of Jashore on Monday and Tuesday, according to UNB.

A youth at Shukdevnagar village of Dohakula union of Bagharpara upazila died as he came in touch of a live electric line around 10:00am on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Raju Ahmed, 30, son of Abul Hossain of the village.

The family members said Razu got electric shock when he came in contact with a live electric wire while fixing a multi-plug.

Later, they rushed Razu to Bagharpara Upazila Health Complex and the on-duty physician declared him dead.

In Chaugachha upazila, a minor at South Kayarpara village of Chaugachha union died as he came in touch with electric wire around 8:00pm on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Rafin Islam, 9, son of Rafikul Islam and a student of Class-II of Laskarpur Government Primary School.

Rafikul said that his son got electrocuted while trying to charge a mobile phone into an electric socket.

After the incident they took Rafin to hospital immediately but physicians declared him dead.
