Probe body formed over Gaibandha road crash
An 11-member committee was formed to investigate the road accident that left 18 people dead in Palash upazila of Gaibandha district on Saturday, reports UNB.
Sishir Kumar Roy, additional secretary to the road transport and bridges ministry, has been made the convener of the committee.
The committee was asked to submit its report within seven days after visiting the accident spot.
The accident took place when a bus hit a roadside tree after its driver lost control over the steering, leaving nine passengers dead on the spot and 37 others injured.
Among the injured, nine people died on way to hospital.
