Distress of Dakkhin Donia

The people of Dakkhin Donia in Kadamtali, Dhaka, are suffering. The roads and alleys have been flooded with dirty water for long. The authorities remain impervious.

The canals and water bodies around the area are filled up. Acute scarcity of drinking water has added to the distress. Development work is going on and the Dhaka WASA (Water Supply and Sewerage Authority) is chenneling water to the area.

People are using pipes to collect water from neighbouring areas, but that hardly meets their needs.

Along with hygiene risks, day to day life is seriously harmed. The miseries have caused many to leave the area.
