Jhenaidah road crash kills man

A man was killed after being hit by a vehicle at Aruakandi village in Jhenaidah on Sunday.

The deceased is Sirajul Islam, 30, son of Kawsar Mandal of the village, reports UNB.

Emdadul Haq Sheikh, officer-in-charge of Sadar police station, said the accident took place in the area early in the morning, when a vehicle hit him while crossing the road, leaving him dead on the spot.

However, police could not know which or what type of vehicle hit him, the OC added.
