Newly formed Rangpur, Gazipur Metro Police get chiefs

The home ministry has appointed two senior police officers as the chiefs of newly formed Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RMP) and Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP), reports UNB.

Additional commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police YM Belalur Rahman has been made commissioner of GMP while deputy inspector general of police headquarters Md Abdul Alim Mahmud made commissioner of RMP, said a home ministry release by Dhananjay Kumar Das, deputy secretary of public security division of the ministry on Wednesday.
