2 motorcycle riders killed in Chapainawabganj

A motorcyclist and a passenger were killed were killed while trying to avoid a head-on collision with a truck in Chapainawabganj's Shibganj upazila on Saturday, reports UNB.

The deceased were Mukul Reza, 36, son of Krishnachandrapur village in Shibganj upazila, and Bahadur, son of Montaj Ali of Trimohoni village in the same upazila.

Sub-inspector Jewel of Shibganj police station said the accident took place as the biker skidded off the road when trying to provide side to a speedy truck on Chapainawabganj-Sonamasjid Highway at Dhobpur leaving both of them dead on the spot.

Police recovered the bodies and sent those to the local hospital morgue for autopsy, he added.
