Road crash claims 3 lives

Three motorcyclists, including a Bangladesh Chhatra League leader, were killed in a road accident in Shahpur area of Kasba upazila in Brahmanbaria district on Saturday.

The deceased are Nurul Amin, general secretary of BCL at ward no.5 in Kuti union of the upazila, Enamul Haque Faisal and Sajal, reports UNB

The accident took place when a goods-laden truck hit the motorcycle, leaving Nurul Amin dead on the spot and two others injured, said Kasba police station officer-in-charge Md Moniruzzaman.

The injured were admitted to Kurmitola Medical College Hospital, where physicians declared them dead at night, he said.

Being informed, police rushed to the spot and seized the truck, OC Moniruzzaman added.

However the truck driver and his helper managed to flee the scene, he said.
