BRAC Bank inks deal to lend $50m to women

BRAC Bank Limited has signed a tripartite agreement for on-lending USD 50 million in loans to women entrepreneurs.

The bank recently inked the agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and Goldman Sachs Foundation, says a press release.

Under this agreement, BRAC Bank received USD 50 million from the IFC for financing women entrepreneurs at preferential rates.

Selim RF Hussain, managing director and CEO of BRAC Bank Limited, and Ariane Di Iorio, head of the Financial Institutions Group, South Asia, of IFC, recently exchanged agreement documents at the BRAC Bank head office in the capital.
