Telecom operator Robi has appointed Md Faisal Imtiaz Khan as head of its Human Resources division and a member of its management council recently, reports UNB.

Faisal succeeded Matiul Islam Nowshad, immediate-past chief corporate and people officer of the company.

Matiul Islam was relocated to Axiata Group in Kuala Lumpur as the special projects director at the Axiata Human Resources.

Faisal joined Robi back in June 2010 with a diverse corporate background.

He was the crucial member of the HR transformation project team that saw the company being recognised as the Best People Management Company among all the operating companies in Axiata five years in a row.

Commenting on the appointment of Faisal, Robi’s managing director and CEO, Mahtab Uddin Ahmed said “We are very happy to have Faisal heading the Human Resources division. His appointment once again bears testimony to our commitment to promote local talents in the senior leadership team.”

“I am confident that his rich profile in Human Resources discipline will serve the company well as we pick up the speed for digital transformation of the company,” he added.

Faisal has done his Advanced Management Programme from “INSEAD” and MBA from “Royal Roads University, British Columbia, Canada” with major in “Digital Technology Management”.
