Walton to launch new ACs

The country's electronics giant 'Walton' will launch two-ton air-conditioners and five-ton commercial or cassette type air-conditioners in the local market very soon.

Eva Rezwana, executive director and chief marketing coordinator of Walton, said the new models of air-conditioners will be launched to meet the increasing demands for Walton ACs this year.

"Sale of Walton ACs was quite satisfactory this year and we witnessed about 21.39 per cent growth in the sales of ACs during the last two months (March-April, 2018)", he said.

Amdadul Haque Sarker, executive director and head of distributors' marketing of Walton, said the Walton brand AC with ioniser technology will ensure pure and healthy air in the room through filtering dusts, smoke, bacteria and odour with a device named Ioniser.

Walton ACs with inverter technology's compressor would consume 60 per cent lesser electricity than the general technology's ACs, he added.

Now, Walton is manufacturing and marketing 18,000 BTU's IoT and inverter technology's Smart AC at Tk 65,000 in the local market. In addition, people can buy Walton brand's inverter air-conditioners of 18000 BTU at Tk 63,500. Prices of Walton brand 18000 BTU and 24000 BTU's AC with ioniser technology are Tk 49,900 and Tk 56,900 respectively. In addition, Walton brand 17200 BTU and 12000 BTU's AC are priced at Tk 43,900 and Tk 35,900 respectively.

There will be six-month replacement guaranty on Walton ACs and up to eight years guaranty on the compressor of Walton ACs and 36-month instalment facility during purchase.
