Chinese mobile company Huawei has been featured in the annual ranking of ‘The World’s Most Valuable Brands 2018’ compiled by Forbes, said a press release on Wednesday.

The mobile company is the only Chinese brand to find a place in the list.

Huawei has been included in the list for the second consecutive year ranking 79th with a brand value of US$8.4 billion.

Huawei entered the list for the first time in 2017 and ranked 88th with a brand value of US$7.3 billion. After a year of rapid development, Huawei’s brand value increased by 15%. Technology companies continue to dominate the list by taking the 20% of the TOP 100 spots.

The year 2017 has seen Huawei achieving a rapid global development driven by the full range of its products featuring the Mate, P and Nova series. The launch of the Huawei P10 and Mate10 series helped to build Huawei’s premium reputation and increased influence in the high-end handset market.
