ECNEC okays big projects for developing primary school infrastructural

The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Thursday approved 15 projects, including two huge projects to ensure infrastructural development of primary schools across the country.

The approval came from the 14th ECNEC meeting of the current fiscal year held at the NEC Conference Room in the city’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Area with ECNEC chairperson and prime minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

Briefing reporters after the meeting, planning minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said that a total of 15 projects were approved today with an estimated cost of Tk 26,410.81 crore.

“Of the total project cost, Tk 22,078.77 crore will come from the state exchequer, Tk 384.64 crore will come from the organization’s own fund while the rest of Tk 3,947.40 crore from project assistance,”

Of the approved 15 projects, 10 are new while five are revised ones.
