Naseeruddin Shah to perform on Dhaka stage

Bollywood legend Naseeruddin Shah will visit Dhaka in April with his famous theatrical production ‘Ismat Apa Ke Naam’.

Blues Communications managing director Farhadul Islam confirmed this to Prothom Alo.

The play will be staged on 21 April at International Convention City Bashundhara in the capital, he said.

 “We always try to give audience a different touch of entertainment, and this play is part of that effort,” Farhadul Islam added.

Directed and acted by Naseeruddin Shah, ‘Ismat Apa Ke Naam’ illustrates three different stories ‘Chui Mui’, ‘Gharwali’ and ‘Mughal Bachcha’.

All the three parts depict women’s existence in patriarchal society in a satirical fashion.

Other actors of the stage play include Heeba Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah.

Tickets will be available at specified branches of the City Bank.
