‘Inspector Notty.K’, starring Nusrat Faria, was to be released across the country this week. However, the release was held up due to complications related to joint production issues and later an exchange agreement. Prothom Alo has now learnt that the film could be released next Friday if all formalities are completed. Faria talked about the movie.

Prothom Alo: How is the response to Inspector Notty.K from India?

Nusrat Faria: The response is good. The film has been discussed for some time now. There was huge publicity too. The viewers’ reaction will be known after two days.

PA: Have you watched it?

NF: Yes. I attended the first show along with 200 guests at a multiplex in Kolkata. The story is so funny, I laughed hearing some of my own dialogues in the movie.

PA: The film was set to be released in Bangladesh also, but was not. Didn’t you feel bad?

NF: I felt so bad. But one has to follow the rules. As the film could not be produced jointly, preparations were taken to release it under the film import policy of Bangladesh. But, that could not be completed in time either. The film is set to be released in Bangladesh very soon. But if it is pirated in Kolkata, then it will not run well in Bangladesh.

PA: Do you have any idea about the date of release in Bangladesh?

NF: Jazz Multimedia has imported the film and it could be released next Friday. Jit (Jit Ganguly) and I will start publicity for the movie in Bangladesh from 24 January. I’m so excited about that. There is another thing I’ve been so excited about for the whole day.

PA: What is that?

NF: During the publicity campaign in Kolkata, the Telegraph asked who my favourite actor outside of Tollywodo was. I said it was Hrithik Roshan before and now Varun Dhawan. I tweeted the link of that interview later. The next morning I found Varun liked my tweet! I could not believe my eyes! Believe me, I’m still under a spell!
