Arindam announces his next ‘Balighar’
Indian filmmaker Arindam Sil on Saturday officially introduced the cast and crew of his upcoming film 'Balighar', a proposed Bangladesh-India joint venture production, reports UNB.
The film, based on the novel 'Dheu Ashe Dheu Jay' by Indian novelist Suchitra Bhattacharya, includes Nusrat Imroz Tisha, Arifin Shuvoo and Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed from Bangladesh and Abir Chatterjee, Parno Mitra and Rahul Banerjee from India as its main cast.
The director declared the names at a press briefing in the morning at a city hotel.
Managing director of Bengal Creations Luva Nahid Choudhury and Arindam Sil signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of the film at the programme.
"'Balighar' will be truly a joint venture film of which 95 per cent shooting will be done in Bangladesh and the rest in India," said Arindam Sil, the director of this film.
Mentioning 'Balighar' as a relationship-based movie, the director said it is a story of seven friends and their reunion after 12 years.
Meanwhile, Bikram Ghosh, a noted Indian musician and Chirkut, the popular musical band of Bangladesh will produce music for the film while Pantha Kanai is hoping to lend his voice for the playback.
Bengal Creations and Nothing Beyond Cinema, two production houses of Bangladesh and India, will jointly produce the film from this April.
In the programme, producer Abul Khayer, director Morshedul Islam, Bickram Ghosh, Nusrat Imroz Tisha, Arifin Shuvoo and Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed were, among others, present.
