Met office in its weather forecast on Friday said mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over the country and it is likely to continue for some more days.

“Mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna and Barisal divisions and the regions of Tangail, Faridpur, Madaripur, Gopalgong, Mymensingh, Srimangal, Comilla, Feni, Sitakunda and Hatiya and it may continue,” said a met office forecast here.

Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country during midnight till morning and it may continue till noon over northwestern part of the country while weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, it added.

Night temperature may rise slightly and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Minimum temperature of the country was recorded today at 6.0 degree celsius at Jessore in Khulna division and maximum temperature at 25.8 degrees celsius on Wednesday at Teknaf in Chittagong division.

The sun sets at 5:30pm on Friday and rises at 6:44am Sunday in Dhaka.
