SC closed for deaths of two judges

Supreme CourtThe Supreme Court (SC) suspended its regular judicial activities for Monday following the demise of Appellate Division judge Mohammad Bazlur Rahman and High Court's JN Dev Chowdhury.

Chief justice Surendra Kumar Sinha said the SC suspended regular judicial activities for the death of Mohammad Bazlur Rahman and JN Dev Chowdhury.

Justice Bazlur Rahman, who had been suffering from liver cirrhosis for long, breathed his last at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) around 6:15pm on Sunday.

Justice JN Dev Chowdhury died at Square Hospital in the city on 15 December.
