Journo Zia’s condition remains unchanged

Zia bhaiHealth condition of daily Prothom Alo’s chief photojournalist Zia Islam hasn’t improved as he was kept under a medical observation at Apollo Hospital in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Zia underwent a major operation in his head at the Apollo Hospital Tuesday night. He is now under 48-hour observation.

Physicians at the hospital said Zia’s blood pressure and body temperature are stable. One of his eyelids was seen moving, but the overall health condition has not improved as yet. “We need to wait for 48 hours after the operation.”

A speeding car hit Zia’s motorbike on Monday night at the capital’s Panthapath in front of Bashundhara City shopping mall.
With severe injuries in his head and legs, he was first taken to DMCH and then shifted to Apollo Hospital in Dhaka.

On Tuesday, Prothom Alo’s security manager Sajjadul Kabir filed a case.

Later police arrested model and actor Kalyan Corraya in the case.
