The city’s Rabindra Sarobar has been a popular choice for the Dhaka dwellers to celebrate important days and festivals. On the Pahela Baishakh - the first day of Bangla new year - people in their hundreds thronged the place wearing colourful dresses, regardless of their gender, age and profession.
