Eid, miles away from home

After the month-long fast, Eid brings joy to our lives and the good cheer continues for days. But, what about the non-resident Bangladeshis? How do they spend their Eid? Thousands of miles away from sweet home and near and dear ones, they are still determined to enjoy the essence of Eid celebrations just as in Bangladesh.

Family get-togethers and community gatherings are synonymous with Eid aboard for the expatriate Bangladeshis.

Many of them make call their families and friends back in Bangladesh while others upload their photos and posts on social media sites to share their celebrations with those close to them.

Some of the expatriate Bangladeshis from different parts of the world have shared their Eid celebrations with the readers of Prothom Alo.
