Tigers return home

After playing the semi-finals in the ICC Champions Trophy for the first time in their history, Bangladesh national cricket team returned home on Saturday morning.

The team landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 10:00am after being away for 50 days in the UK.

Skipper Mashrafe Mortaza talked to newsmen briefly at the airport.

“It’s been a good achievement to reach to the semi-finals (of the Champions Trophy). We got a good chance but couldn’t capitalise on it,” he said.

“This is not the end. We have big tournaments and series in the future. It’s important to perform there,” Mashrafe added.
