Bangladesh speedster Mustafizur Rahman may sit out the second game of the three-match ODI series against New Zealand. Team sources have said the pacer might be rested for the Thursday's game as per the suggestions of the physio.
Fast bowler Shuvashish Roy is likely to be handed a debut while out-of-form Soumya Sarkar may be replaced by leg spinner Tanvir Haider, who is also dreaming of his first ODI appearance.
"If a player fails to perform consistently, we have to look for alternative," coach Chandika Hathurusingha said at the press conference.
A hamstring injury will keep wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim out of the remaining two ODIs and the T20s and he is set to be replaced by Nurul Hasan. The latter has played six T20s for the national team, but it will be his maiden ODI.
