Bangladesh ODI skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza on Friday said the victory against the visiting Sri Lanka was of the best recent wins.

“If you look at (the) recent past, it is one of our best wins,” said Mashrafe after the victory.

He also said, “I think Tamim could have got a hundred. Shakib also could have gone on.”

Earlier, three half-centuries from Tamim Iqbal (84), Shakib Al Hasan (67) and Mushfiqur Rahim (62) helped Bangladesh to claim their biggest win in one-day cricket on Friday, reports news agency AFP.

The bowlers had a wonderful day, too, as Mashrafe and pacer Rubel Hossain bagged two wickets. Man-of-the-match Shakib took three wickets while Nasir Hossain and Mustafizur Rahman, who is adorably called ‘The Fizz’, got one wicket apiece.

In their second match, Tigers outplayed Lankans by 163 runs. The victory beat the 160-run victory made over West Indies in 2012. They defeated Zimbabwe by eight wickets in the first match of this tournament.

Sri Lanka play Zimbabwe in the next match on Sunday.
