Opener Anamul Haque was sent to the pavillion by West Indies captain Jason Holder with only one run on board, but Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan have since then fought well in the first ODI on Sunday.

The visitors now have 163 for 1 after 36 overs, with Tamim on 76 and Shakib on 78.

Winning the toss, Tigers captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza had opted to bat first.

After shambolic defeats in the two Tests, Bangladesh are desperate to net their first win of the tour.
