More 160 BCS qualifiers get non-cadre jobs

Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) on Sunday recommended appointments of 160 qualifiers of 35th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) for non-cadre posts.

The BPSC came up with the announcement in a press statement this afternoon.

Of them, 42 were recommended to be sub-registrars while 21 as social welfare officers and 19 as assistant directors.

PSC chairman Mohammad Sadik said, "After the 35th BCS results, we asked ministries to provide us with the lists of vacant posts. Actually, we are pushing ministries to appoint BCS qualifiers in the vacant posts."

In the first phase, the commission also recommended 398 job aspirants, who passed the 35the BCS recruitment examinations, for non-cadres posts on 17 April.

Earlier on 17 August of 2016, results of the 35th BCS were published. As much as 5,533 job seekers passed the exam.

Of them, 2,158 were appointed as gazetted officer and rest 3,359 were kept awaited for non-cadre posts.
