36th BCS final and 37th written exam results possibly in Sept

The final results of the 36th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations and the results of the 37th’s written exams are likely to be published at the end of September, 2017.

Chairman of Bangladesh Public Service Commission, Mohammad Sadiq, said this on Tuesday.

“We’re working relentlessly to publish the final results of the 36th BCS and the 37th written exam results at the end of September,” Mohammad Sadiq told Prothom Alo.

The BPSC chairman said they are also working on the 38th BCS exams.

“The preliminary exams of the 38th BCS may be held at the end of October, 2017,” said Mohammad Sadiq.

Of the 12,468 contenders who took part in the in last September’s exam, a total of 5,990 candidates passed the 36th BCS written test.

On the other hand,  of the 2,43,476 jobseekers, a total of 8,523 candidates passed the 37th BCS examination.

The BPSC published the 37th BCS circular to recruit 1,226 class-I officers and teachers.

The process of the 38th BCS exams began on 10 July and will continue to 10 August.
