7 killed in Panchagarh road accident
Seven people were killed in a head-on collision between a minibus and a battery-run easy-bike in Tetulia upazila of Panchagarh on Friday.
The accident took place around 1:30pm on the Panchagarh-Banglabandha highway.
The identities of the deceased could not be identified yet but they all were boarding the easy bike.
Witnesses said, a Tetulia bound bus of Kazi Paribahan hit the easy-bike, killing its driver and five other passengers.
The driver of the bus fled the scene.
Local people and fire service members joined the rescue work and sent two victims to Panchagarh Sadar Hospital where one succumbed to his injuries.
Police superintendent of Panchagarh Yusuf Ali and officer-in-charge of sadar police station Abu Akkas reached the scene after the accident.
