Bullet-hit body of convicted robber recovered
Police recovered bullet-hit body of a convicted fugitive robber from Charkadira in Kamalnagar upazila of Lakshmipur early Thursday, reports UNB.
The deceased Moin Uddin Manu, son of a certain Sultan Ahmed Patwari of the upazila, was a top-listed robber, said Alamgir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Kamalnagar police station.
Being informed that two gangs of robbers were exchanging bullets over establishing supremacy in the area, a team of police went to the spot and found the bullet-hit body of Moin Uddin.
Police also recovered a firearm and two rounds of bullet from the spot, said the OC.
Moin was wanted in several cases and was also a convicted fugitive in a case.
Prothom Alo, however, could not verify the police’s version of the incident independently as no witness was available immediately.
