Indigenous woman, daughter found dead in city
Police on Tuesday night recovered bodies of two Garo women from their house in Dhaka’s Kalachandpur area.
The deceased are Sujata Chiran, 40, and her mother Beshath Chiran, 65.
According to police, Sujata’s son-in-law Pilesta found the house locked from outside on Tuesday evening.
He and the house owner informed police after they found the bodies under the bed.
Sujata was hacked to death while Beshath was strangulated.
CCTV footage shows Sujata’s nephew leaving the house with 3-4 others, said inspector Salahuddin Ahmed of Gulshan police station.
Family feud might be the reason for the killings, he predicts.
