Kushtia headmaster put on 5-day remand over Facebook post
A court in Kushtia on Tuesday placed the headmaster who was arrested for making derogatory remarks on Facebook against Bangabandhu and prime minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday night, to five-day remand for police interrogation.
Moksed Ali, the headmaster of Kumarkhali Jagannath High School was arrested after a case was filed against him under Article 57 of ICT Act with Kumarkhali Police Station.
Senior judicial magistrate of the district Masud-Ud-Zaman passed the order after the investigation officer of the case produced the accused before the court seeking the remand at afternoon.
Officer-in-charge of the police station Abdul Khaleque confirmed the remand incident.
