Man killed by 'BSF' on Chapainawabganj border
Police recovered a bullet-hit body of a young man,who allegedly was killed by Indian Border Security Force (BSF), from a paddy field near Masudpur border in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj early Saturday, reports UNB.
The deceased is Bisharat Ali Bishu Miah, 21, son of Taimur Rahman of Sahapara Chotokpara village in Monkosha union.
Locals spotted the body at Tarapur village in the morning, around two kilometers away from no man's land, said lieutenant colonel Sajjad Sarwer, commanding officer of BGB-53 battalion in Chapainawabganj.
Police recovered the body in the morning and sent it to sadar hospital morgue for autopsy, said Atikul Islam, officer-in-charge of Shibganj Police Station.
Locals claimed that Bishu was killed by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF).
The BGB official said they are not sure whether or not the man was killed by BSF.
“We are investigating the matter,” he added.
