Rohingya woman detained in Khulna
Police detained a Rohingya woman from the premises of passport office in Khulna on Monday night, reports UNB.
The arrestee is Sharmin Akhter, 22, daughter of Hamid Ullah, hailing from Rohingya Ukhia Camp in Cox’s Bazar.
Mamtazul Haque, officer-in-charge of Sonadanga police station, said that Sharmin came to Khulna along with his boyfriend Saifullah Chowdhury, 44, son of Nurul Kabir Chowdhury, hailing from Satkania in Chittagong, two days back and was staying at a hotel in city.
Police detained them when they went to the passport office area at night for talking to a passport broker.
