SUST student hacked on campus
A student of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) was hacked by a group of miscreants at the university campus on Friday, reports UNB.
The victim Md Omar Faruq is a second-year student of university’s Bangla Department.
The injured student Faruq told UNB that he went out for a walk with one of his department's junior students around 4:00pm at the sideways of Syed Mujtaba Ali Hall.
On the way back around 4:30pm, five youths intercepted them and snatched away his mobile phone and wallet and at one stage they stabbed him with a knife when he had resisted them, he added.
The injured student was rescued and given primary treatment, said proctor Zahir Uddin Ahmed.
A case was filed with Jalalabad police station in the evening, he added.
