Ershad Chakma, the only confirmed coronavirus patient in Khagrachhari, has recovered, reports UNB.
His sample tested negative for the third time and he is now doing well, said civil surgeon Nupur Kanti Das on Saturday morning adding that now the district has no other confirmed coronavirus cases.
Besides, the samples of 14 people who came in contact with him, also tested negative.
Ershad Chakma, who was in isolation at Dighinala Kamakkachhara Primary School, received release letter today.
The civil surgeon said that now 21 people are in institutional quarantine and 124 in home quarantine.
Ershad, a readymade garment worker, returned to Dighinala on 18 April. Later, his sample was sent to Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Disease (BITID) in Chattogram and his positive report was received on 29 April.
Bangladesh confirmed 206 death and 13,134 cases until Friday.
