Youth’s bullet-hit body recovered at Rajshahi border
Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered the bullet-hit body of a youth at the frontier village of Char Majhardiar of Paba upazila in Rajshahi on Wednesday morning, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as a motorbike driver Md Mithun, 25, who hailed from the area.
BGB Rajshahi-1 Battalion commander lieutenant colonel Sabbir Ahmed said locals spotted Mithun's body about 200 yards inside Bangladesh territory from the Indian border early hours of Wednesday.
He is suspected to have been shot dead by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) while crossing the border. The matter has been reported to the police, the official said.
Mahbub Hossain, officer-in-charge of Damkura Police Station, said investigation is underway in this regard.
