Man with 'coronavirus symptoms' flees from hospital
A Bangladeshi expatriate living in Bahrain, who returned home two months back, fled from a city hospital on Sunday after he was taken there with fever, cough and sneezing, reports UNB.
Shahjahan, 40, from Noakhali district, was admitted to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital two days ago, said its director Uttam Kumar Barua.
As his symptoms were like that of coronavirus, they requested the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) to send a team to test him, he said, adding when the team reached the hospital around 12:30pm, it found the man along with his wife missing.
Uttam Kumar also said this was certainly not a coronavirus case as the expatriate returned home two months ago when the deadly disease was limited to China only.
